Every one of you is loveable and deserves love.
Regardless of how you have been treated in the past, and how you have been treating yourself up to now, the key to love is within you. It is always there, in the present moment, deep inside, hidden and hard to miss when we are caught up in the busy voice(s) in our head.
Observe the thoughts you have, the things you tell yourself. Are you too hard on yourself because you pick your skin or pull your hair and can’t seem to stop? That you do those actions is a fact. Hating yourself because you do them is optional.
Notice whether you think or say hateful things to yourself. Do you mentally repeat things you know would be incredibly mean to say to someone else? Be aware that your thoughts are powerful when they are repeated over and over. They create more of what you think.
Choose today to begin nurturing positive loving thoughts. Pick one of your often repeated negative phrases and make the intention to counter it with a specific positive phrase.
For example, if you think, “I’m such a mess. No one could ever love me” or some such thing, notice and every time say to yourself, “I am loveable and deserve love.”
Even better, plant a love seed by doing something loving for someone else, without expectation of return or reward.
